The Workshops offer a friendly, supportive environment in which young people can explore those areas of the performing arts that interest them. Whether they have only just discovered their interest and want to develop it further, or they have reached the stage where they are considering a career in the arts, the Workshops offer the opportunity to learn alongside other young people supported by expert tuition in appropriate surroundings
Workshop live runs workshops for all ages where you will learn, rehearse and perform a contemporary/classic rock/pop song in a band! In the first hour demonstrations take place by the coordinator to explain the workshop, share there experiences working as a professional in the music industry and perform a couple of songs. A rehearsal guideline is explained, detailing rules of rehearsing and respecting your fellow musician’s decisions and working as a team. On with the fun stuff!!!!!!!
Depending on the musician’s available the participants are divided into equal groups. In recent workshops these have consisted of drummers, guitarists, Keyboards, bassists and vocalists. Each Group must then choose or are given a song to rehearse. In half an hour intervals the participants are visited by the coordinator to help them with the song and give any advice and tips on there performance. After lunch and other hours rehearsal each group performs there piece to the workshop. The groups then go back to their rehearsal rooms to be visited by the workshop coordinator to discuss and iron out any problems in their performance. They then decide on a group name write it down and put in hat to be drawn out later.
